Winner of the BBC Young Folk Award in 2010

Not just a fiddler, not just a guitarist, but a wonderful singer too! James has a family background of traditional music and song, and displays an extensive range of material, and a knowledge and love of the songs, particularly those from his West Country.

James has two highly acclaimed albums out with Fellside: ?Sport and Play' and ?Another Day Another Story.'  Sport and Play was in MOJO's list of top ten folk albums of 2013 and Another Day Another Story was nominated for ?Best Folk Album 2013? in the Spiral Earth Awards. 

James has recently been involved in some high profile projects. These include the recording of songs from 'The New Penguin Book of English Folk Songs' with Lucy Ward, Bella Hardy and Brian Peters;

2 outstanding founder members of the New Scorpion Band present songs, tunes and a few readings with the emphasis on their native Dorset. Tim on melodeon, concertina and vocals and 

Colin on Fiddle (author of The English Fiddle Tutor).
